Welcome

Welcome To Mrs. Hierholzer's Classroom!!

Dear Parents;

My name is Lisa Hierholzer, and I am so excited for the 2020-2021 school year with your child!  I know this has been a very challenging time for everyone and returning to school completely virtual was not how anyone wanted school to begin. Safety is our utmost responsibility during this uncertain time, and I will do my best to make learning as seamless as possible. There will be no doubt a learning curve for all students and staff as we learn and become more comfortable with the amazing technology we will be using.

I hope this website will help in communicating important information about what your child is doing in our classroom this year. Each tab will provide important information for each subject area as well as weekly updates on homework, ongoing projects/assignments, and important upcoming dates.

This is my fourth year here at Highland Elementary as a 6th grade teacher. I am so thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and enriching school.

As always, if you can not find the answer to your questions on here or if you ever have any concerns please feel free to contact me via email or give me a call.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hierholzer

Brief Bio
I grew up in Perkasie, Pa and graduated high school at Pennridge High School. I received my bachelor's degree at West Chester University in Elementary Education, and I acquired my master's degree from Western Governors University in Middle School Mathematics.

This will be my eleventh year of teaching! I spent two years in 2nd grade, five years in kindergarten, and this will be my fourth year in 6th grade. Teaching is my passion and truly believe it is one of the most important jobs.  I love connecting with my students and finding what makes them excited and motivated to learn.

I have four wonderful children; Nicolas is 21, Kyle is 14, and the twins, Harley and Cooper, are 9. We love family time at the beach, watching football (Go Eagles!), or just hanging out playing cards. If I ever find spare time I enjoy reading, baking, and binge watching Netflix series!
